I’m Tony, the founder and photographer behind Monoxdash. I’ve always been drawn to black and white photography for its simplicity, honesty, and its ability to capture emotion without distraction.

At Monoxdash, I focus on monochrome photography with a subtle dash of colour. By reducing a scene to light and shadow, then introducing a single accent of colour, I aim to highlight details and feelings that might otherwise go unnoticed. One carefully chosen hue can completely change how we see a moment - guiding attention, telling a story, and creating emotional impact within an otherwise timeless black and white image.

Monoxdash is more than a creative project; it’s a personal journey. Growing up alongside children with autism taught me how overwhelming the world can feel and how precious a moment of clear focus is. Sometimes, a simple dot or dash of colour can surprise, delight, or help them concentrate. This experience shapes how I see photography and fuels my passion for simplicity, contrast, and clarity.
